The Perkes have moved to Hyde Park, and we will miss them so much. Darren Perkes has been the Bishop of our ward for 3 years now, and is so loved by one and all. Not to mention Missy, who is one of my all-time favorite people. She is the best Mom, wife, friend, etc... We will miss having them be just around the corner.
Sooooooo, who's the new Bishop of the Logan 9th Ward? Jason Jared Lambert, my honey. Yep. I kind of feel like everyone else who doesn't know if they should congratulate him or offer condolences... It's a big job. And following such an awesome leader as Darren Perkes is daunting. But he'll be just fine. He's amazing, and loves the members of our ward so much.
I guess it's time for me to be on my best behavior...

Wow, congratulations! But I have to offer my condolences too! Jonathan's never been a bishop but I can only imagine how much weight will be on his shoulders!!! BUT how blessed you guys will be!!! Wow, I'm sure you will grow from this experience and have the time of your life! Congrats and condolences again!

Hey Brooke! As you know, I don't know much about the LDS religion, but I've heard the bishop position takes a lot of work and I have no doubt that Jason can handle it! You'll have to let me know what it all entails sometime!

Holy crap! That scares me! Remind me if we ever go to hockey games together that you aren't sitting by me because of virgin ears...not cuz you don't like me...if it's cuz you don't like me that's ok too.
Just be yourself, Brooke- you are good enough already. Besides, if you really started to apply yourself, you would become so good and so righteous that you'd find it would be way too hard to fellowship others.

Very neat. Does that mean you won't have a calling while he is bishop? I have been in some wards that release the wife from her calling when her hubby gets called as bishop. Special, but trying times are ahead. :) I think it is wonderful. p.s. I need to come and visit you.....
Oh wow Brooke! First I can't believe that the Perkes finally moved. So exciting for them. Second, Congrats to Jason. He will be amazing! The 9th ward is SO lucky to have both of you! (PS - are you still serving as the Stake YW Pres?)
