You are invited...
We will be blessing Finn this Sunday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m. We would love to have anyone who can come. Our church is at 100 East 500 North in Logan. I know I told some of you it was the first week of July, so sorry about the short notice. We will have Navajo tacos afterward at our house under the pretty new canopy-gazebo thing we put up yesterday. Will you let me know via blog comment or email if you are planning to attend? Thanks!

Happy Birthday, Jules!
We were excited to head to Salt Lake and celebrate with the Jules Lambert family Friday night. We had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square (a good option for vegan and omnivorous tastes). It was so much fun to sit and visit with the adults at one end of the long table and the kids at the other end. :) We are so happy to have the ProBar world travelers back in Utah, and look forward to many happy times together.

True Love
Here it is: the birth story. No, no, nothing graphic. Don't worry. If you want the details, come on over and we'll talk more. But the sweetened, condensed version is this: I went natural. For real. One of my biggest life goals accomplished! I am aware that many of you readers think I am nuts for wanting to do this, but it's true. I have always wanted to. Some people want to run marathons, some want to climb big mountains, and I wanted to give birth with no medicinal help. It didn't work out that way for the last 3 deliveries, and since this is probably our last, I decided to go for it. I had great support from Jason and my doctor as well, which is important. And I did it!!! I can hardly believe it, because I really am a weak sissy. Would I do it again? No. But I did it once, and I'm really happy I did. (Thanks to all my "au natural" friends who encouraged me to try it. You know who you are.)
This is the tiny heart tattoo on my wrist Owen insisted on putting on me the day I went into labor. I looked at that thing all through the long night of slow-moving labor, and it calmed me down and warmed my heart to think of my little Owen.

Welcome, little Finn!
Finn Elias Lambert was born Tuesday morning at 8:10 a.m. He is doing great! Everyone seems to be adjusting well, but maybe that's because Grandma Katherine has been here taking care of everyone and everything. I'll post more later, but wanted to let you know he's here and he's darn cute.

No News!
Just thought I'd post the fact that there is nothing new to post! No baby yet, and I'm feeling completely great, and can't believe my due date is tomorrow! Thank you everyone who has checked in to see what's happening with this new addition. Sorry to make you wait, but I think I might even go over; I can't believe how well I'm feeling. I had some contractions while Jason was in Minneapolis, but now that he's home... nothing. I must have been stressed out or something. Anyway, the hard drive on our beautiful computer is on the fritz, so hopefully once the baby is born I will actually be able to post some pix. I will use Jason's computer if I need to.
Good luck to my friend Jenn Keyes, who has been having steady contractions for a couple of days now, and is due next week... I'm so happy for you!
Kate is going to watch the kids tonight so Jason and I can go out to eat. You never know when it will be your last date night for a looong time.

FREE DOG. NO, REALLY.
Yesterday was a busy day from start to finish. On the agenda were the following: doctor's appointment, grocery shopping, tumbling with Owen, and an appointment to get my hair done with Kenia Ann. NOT on the agenda: Lucy running away and getting impounded. Jason called me at the end of my hair appointment to break the news. Animal Control picked her up at Mount Logan Middle School dining near the dumpsters. Strange... usually we find her at the dumpsters behind Angie's. They impounded her rather than returning her because she was not wearing her tags. And why was she not wearing her tags? Because she got out twice last week, and lost them shimmying under the fence. Soooo, I spent the next hour and a half running around town, gathering proof of vaccination, paying the impound fee at the city, and waiting at the Cache Meadows Animal Clinic for-EVER. It stunk so bad in there, I thought I might be ill. (Funny, though, I took the kids to the Fun Park this afternoon, and it smelled very similar... Ew.) Anyway, if you are interested in a sweet 7-year-old yellow lab, you can pick her up at our house. We will include a kennel and some doggie treats for your trouble.
