We love you, Grandpa Mark!

Jason and his brother, Jules, are flying out tomorrow morning to be with their Dad, who is suffering greatly from cancer. All Jason's siblings will be or have been there over the weekend, which must be comforting to Mark and Deb both. The boys wrote letters to Grandpa Mark tonight, and I was so choked up to hear their very tender thoughts toward him. We all wish we could be there at this time, and send all our love with Jason. Bennett said, "Mom, do you know what red x's mean? They mean KISSES!" So here's to you, Grandpa Mark!

I don't know what would be more comforting than to have all your children with you and good little words from your Grandchildren. There's not much to compare with the sweetness that can come from little boys. I know Mark will feel all this love and I, remembering much good in 30 years, send him love too.

Your blog is wonderful, Brooke. Hope someone can tap into a wireless account in Gramma's neighborhood so she can enjoy it too.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! Please tell Jason the Hodges are thinking about him and pray that you will all find peace in such a trying time. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to watch one of my parents battle cancer.

I'm glad that Jason is able to spend some time with him now. Please let me know if you need to spend sometime by yourself--I would be happy to watch your children. There is just enough room in the cage in the basement for a few more. My kids will be grateful for the company.

So sorry to hear that Jason's dad is ill. I have gone through the same thing recently and it is so tough for everyone. I am glad Jason will have the opportunity to spend more time with his father.

Please tell Jason we are thinking about him here and sending positive thoughts your way.

Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers. We're enjoying this time with my Dad. My six siblings are here in Bellingham and we've had some big family dinners with Dad at the head of the table.
